June 18, 2025 - BURLINGTON, N.C. - The Sock Puppets and Axmen squared off in the finale of their two-game set with Burlington completing the sweep in an 8-6 contest, further cementing themselves as the best team in the Appalachian League. However, the Axmen did not go down without a fight.
Burlington was the first team on the board yet again, this time with a five-run second inning that was sparked by an RBI single by Avery Smith. The Burlington bats kept going after that and the lead was 5-0 heading into the third.

June 18, 2025 - Elizabethton, Tenn. - The Elizabethton River Riders (3-9) held off a late rally from the Greeneville Flyboys (6-4) to win, 1-0, in the second game of their two-game series on Wednesday at Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark. After seven scoreless innings, Elizabethton finally broke through in the bottom of the eighth with a go ahead single from Crosland to score Brady Thompson and secure the narrow victory.

June 18, 2025 - Johnson City, Tenn.- The Johnson City Doughboys wrap up their game from yesterday with a 7-3 victory, followed by a near no-hitter and an 8-1 route of the Bristol State Liners.
Bristol opened up Tuesday's game with Brayden Gilley on the mound, as he made the most of the start for the State Liners. Sporting a 1.13 ERA on eight innings pitched, Gilley added four more to that total, allowing only three hits in the process and no runs.

June 18, 2025 - ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. - The Greeneville Flyboys won their third straight game Tuesday night, defeating the River Riders, 6-2, in Elizabethton. The game was declared over after 6 1/2 innings due to lightning in the area.
Kellan Klosterman (5 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 8 K) was once again masterful on the mound, giving the Flyboys (6-3) much-needed length in the starting role. He earned his first win of the season with five strong innings, retiring seven straight River Riders (2-9) to conclude his outing.
