November 12, 2025 - KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The Kingsport Axmen are excited to announce their 2026 Appalachian League schedule, featuring another summer packed with family fun, exciting baseball action and community events at Hunter Wright Stadium.
The Axmen will open the 2026 season at home Thursday, June 4, with a three-game series against the Burlington Sock Puppets. The 48-game regular season will run through July 30, with 24 home games and 24 road games split evenly across June and July.

The 2026 Appalachian League regular season begins June 4 and runs through July 30. The Flyboys schedule is highlighted by hosting the Elizabethton River Riders on Independence Day, July 4.

Appalachian League: The summer-collegiate Appy League, which operates under the Major League Baseball and USA Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline, announced its 2026 season will feature eight teams aligned in four-team East and West divisions with each team playing a 48-game schedule from June 4 through July 30, 2025. The league had ten teams last season but the Tri-State Coal Cats (Huntington, WV) will not be returning while the Bristol (VA) State Liners hope to return in 2027 after a proposed new ballpark ...
