Kansas City Current Announces Departures of Goalkeeper Tyler McCamey, Defender Regan Steigleder, Forward Alex Pfeiffer
December 24, 2025 - KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current has announced that goalkeeper Tyler McCamey, defender Regan Steigleder and forward Alex Pfeiffer have departed the club. McCamey and Steigleder will pursue free agency at the end of their contracts on Dec. 31, 2025, while Pfeiffer and the club have agreed to mutually terminate her contract as she explores other playing opportunities.

December 22, 2025 - KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current has signed Meila Brewer, a defender with a decorated United States Youth National Team resume, to a three-year contract through the 2028 season. Brewer will arrive in Kansas City ahead of upcoming preseason training, and, at just 16 years old, will be one of the youngest players in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).

December 19, 2025 - KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Laney Rouse, a defender who recently concluded a decorated collegiate career at the University of Virginia. Kansas City Current to Participate in 2026 Coachella Valley Invitational
December 17, 2025 - KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current is one of nine National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) clubs set to play in the 2026 Coachella Valley Invitational (CVI) this February at Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. This is the Current's first time participating in the annual preseason tournament in which 21 NWSL and Major League Soccer (MLS) teams will be participating in, making it CVI's largest event yet.
