Johnson, LaDue Sign NHL Contracts

April 29, 2016 - Lincoln, Neb. - Stars alums and Luke Johnson and Paul LaDue signed entry-level NHL contracts on Friday. Johnson inked a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks while LaDue signed with the Los Angeles Kings. The cousins and former Stars played in Lincoln from 2011-2013 before joining the North Dakota Fighting Hawks and winning the 2016 NCAA Division 1 men's ice hockey championship. April 24, 2016 - Lincoln, Neb. - Despite a 66-save performance from Stars goalie Peyton Jones, the Stars finished their season with a 4-3 double-overtime loss to the Waterloo Black Hawks in Young Arena on Sunday night. April 23, 2016 - Lincoln, Neb. - The Stars were unable to complete the comeback in Game 3, falling 4-3 in Young Arena on Saturday night and trailing 2-1 in the five-game first round playoff series against the Waterloo Black Hawks.
