Stars Fall to Tri-City in Season Opener

September 24, 2016 - Lincoln, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars fell, 3-1, to the Tri-City Storm in their season opener on Friday in the Ice Box. Linus Weissbach helped the Storm to a 1-0 lead at 15:14 of the first when he fired a low-to-high pass by the glove of Stars goalie Cayden Primeau. The Stars trailed 1-0 at the first intermission. Stars Name Alternate Captains for 2016-2017 Season

September 22, 2016 - Lincoln, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars named Mike Gillespie, Jake Nielsen and Christian Evers alternate captains for the 2016-2017 season on Thursday. Captain Dylan Woolf and the Stars coaching staff worked together to make the decision. Stars Acquire Schultz, Release 23-Man Roster

September 20, 2016 - Lincoln, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars acquired forward Brandon Schultz from the Waterloo Black Hawks and released their 23-man roster on Tuesday. Schultz comes to Lincoln in exchange for Ethan Johnson and a conditional pick in the 2017 Phase II USHL Draft. Schultz had 21 points in 31 games for the Black Hawks last season.
