Stars Defeat Omaha in OT En Route to Undefeated Preseason

September 13, 2025 - The Lincoln Stars defeated the Omaha Lancers 4-3 in overtime to go undefeated in the preseason. Omaha would score first halfway through the first period on the power-play to take the lead 1-0. Lincoln would even up the score just five minutes later with a goal from Casey Vandertop (St. Thomas) on the rush. The Stars would end up taking the lead just before the first intermission with a Jackson Rudh (St. Cloud State) tally from the high slot. Stars Begin Preseason 1-0 With Victory Over Omaha

September 12, 2025 - The Lincoln Stars defeated the Omaha Lancers at the Ice Box 2-1 to begin the preseason with a victory. The Stars controlled the first period despite the frame ending in a 0-0 score. However, the standstill would not remain for that long when Aatu Karvinen found Will Kortan in the low-slot, and Kortan buried a one-timer to give the Stars a one-goal lead. Stars Announce Alexander Fern as Team Broadcaster

September 3, 2025 - The Lincoln Stars have announced that they have made Lincoln native Alexander Fern the voice of the Stars as the team celebrates its 30th season in franchise history. "I am elated to join an organization that has such a winning footprint and a great history of doing good in the Lincoln community." Fern said. "I want to thank everyone with the Stars including Coach Russo, Nick Fabrizio, and all the people that made the decision to hire a local kid for this position." Stars Announce 2025-26 Preseason Schedule

August 12, 2025 - The Lincoln Stars have announced their 2025-26 preseason schedule ahead of the 30th season in franchise history. Both games will take place against the Omaha Lancers on consecutive days. Lincoln hosts the first game on Friday, Sep. 12 at 7:05 p.m. before traveling to Ralston the next day for a 6:05 p.m. matchup. The Stars swept the regular-season series against the Lancers in 2024-25 for the first time in the 29 seasons of the I-80 Rivalry.
