Shostak Named USHL Goaltender of the Year

April 29, 2025 - Yan Shostak, Jack Pechar and Etienne Lessard have been named to the 2024-25 All-USHL Teams. Shostak was named the USHL Goaltender of the Year while also earning a spot on the First Team, Pechar was a forward for the Second Team and Lessard was a defenseman for the Third Team. Shostak, 20, who is also a finalist for the USHL Player of the Year award, led the USHL in goals-against average (2.40), was second in save percentage (.911), second in wins (29) and tied for the second-most shutouts (3). Prowse Named to All-USHL Rookie First Team

April 28, 2025 - Lincoln Stars goaltender William Prowse has been named the USHL All-Rookie First Team, as announced by the league Monday. Prowse, 18, shined in his first season with the Stars, going 15-3-2 with a 2.77 goals-against average and an .896 save percentage in 25 games. Prowse also recorded three shutouts, tied with three others, including teammate Yan Shostak, for the second-most in the USHL. Stars Even Up Series, Defeat Black Hawks

April 26, 2025 - The Lincoln Stars dropped the first game of the Western Conference Finals with a 6-4 loss to the Waterloo Black Hawks on Friday night at the Ice Box. Lincoln came out racing to begin the night, netting three goals on its first 12 shots. With Waterloo on the attack, a pass at the near side of the net hit off Griffin Brown's skate and perfectly rolled to Layne Loomer. Big Second Period Sinks Stars in Game 1

April 25, 2025 - The Lincoln Stars dropped the first game of the Western Conference Finals with a 6-4 loss to the Waterloo Black Hawks on Friday night at the Ice Box. Waterloo scored on three of its first five shots in the opening 2:31 of the second period to stun the Lincoln and take a 1-0 series lead. Chase Jette, Hunter Ramos and Kaeden Hawkins all scored in a 1:48 span. Lefty Markonidis led the Stars with a goal and an assist.
