May 6, 2026 - Lincoln, NE - Three days into the 2026 American Association Spring Training season, the Lincoln Saltdogs hosted the Sioux City Explorers in an exhibition game Wednesday night at Haymarket Park. The visiting Explorers recorded a 9-4 victory.

May 1, 2026 - LINCOLN, NE - The 2026 Lincoln Saltdogs have announced that Theo Hughes has signed to play with the Lincoln this season.
A 2025 graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, Hughes spent four years with the Prairie Wolves. A 6'5", 245-pound right-handed pitcher, the native of Seward, Nebraska will begin his professional career with the Saltdogs. In his senior season at NWU, Hughes went 4-4, with a 5.12 ERA and struck out 62 batters in 58.0 innings pitched. Hughes appeared in eleven games in 2025, with ten starts. At Nebraska ... Full Story
April 30, 2026 - LINCOLN, NE - Former Lincoln Saltdog Anthony Contreras has been named the new Third Base Coach for the Philadelphia Phillies.
A native of San Jose, California, Contreras played for Lincoln during the 2008 season. A shortstop for the Saltdogs, Contreras played 44 games for Lincoln and batted .312. Contreras spent time as a player in two difference affiliated organizations, with the San Francisco Giants and the San Diego Padres.
