Donald Hickey Named Vidéotron Player of the Week

February 23, 2026 - The latest Videotron Player of the Week in the QMJHL is Charlottetown Islanders goaltender Donald Hickey. In three games, the 18-year-old from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland, registered a perfect 3-0-0-0 record to go with a pair of shutouts, a 1.62 GAA and a .943% save percentage. Last Monday afternoon at home, Hickey helped set the tone for a successful week by steering aside all 25 shots he faced in a 7-0 Islanders whitewash of the Cape Breton Eagles. Donovan Scores Late to Lift Sea Dogs Past Olympiques

February 22, 2026 - GATINEAU, QC - The Saint John Sea Dogs completed their three-game road trip through Quebec with a 2-1 win over the Gatineau Olympiques on Sunday afternoon at the Centre Slush Puppie. After a scoreless opening period, Olivier Groulx sent Angelo Fullerton in alone, where he beat Danai Shaiikov shorthanded at 2:07 of the second period. Stress Free Victory in Rimouski

February 22, 2026 - The road trip had been full of disappointment for the Mooseheads up until Sunday where a trip to visit the Rimouski Oceanic was just what the doctor ordered. After blown leads both Thursday and Friday in Gatineau and Drummondville which led to losses, the Herd enjoyed a much-needed laugher in the three-game finale with a 7-1 rout of the lowly Oceanic.
