Brubaker: Allowed 1 R on 4 H over 6.0 IP in 6/02 Win @ AUG with 11 K & 2 BB (4-1 Power)

LEADING OFF: The West Virginia lost 9-5 in 13 innings against Delmarva on Monday night. The Shorebirds scored three in the top of the first inning against Dario Agrazal on five hits, but the Power countered with three of their own on one hit in the bottom of the inning. Delmarva regained the lead in the second, but West Virginia again evened the score in the home half of the inning on a Tito Polo solo home run. Both teams scored one more run in regulation to carry the game to extras. In the top of the 13th, the Shorebirds plated four runs on four hits, paced by a two-run single from Alex Murphy. Billy Roth took the loss while Jay Flaa garnered the win. Christian Kelley went 3-5 with two doubles to lead the Power offense.

FLY BY: The Power host the Shorebirds for two more games before hitting the road again for the final trip of the first half. West Virginia and Delmarva will meet a total of 18 times this year, including 12 games in the second half from July 28 on. The Power lead the all-time series 73-65.

STAR STUDDED: The South Atlantic League announced its all-stars on Tuesday and West Virginia will be represented by three players and trainer Dom Cappozzo. Mitch Keller was tabbed as the starting pitcher for the Northern Division roster and Tito Polo was chosen to start in left field. Ke'Bryan Hayes was also selected as a reserve infielder. The 2016 South Atlantic League All-Star Game will be played in Lexington on June 21.

A DOZEN STRAIGHT: Ryan Nagle doubled in the 12th inning on Monday to extend his hitting streak to a team-best 12 straight games. The outfielder is batting .313 during his streak with 15 hits over 48 at bats with seven runs batted in. Nagle's streak began May 23 and has surpassed the 10-game runs by Tito Polo and Alfredo Reyes in April and is matched by Greenville's Chad De La Guerra for the longest active streak in the league.

EXTRA EFFORT: Monday's 13 inning loss was the first extra inning loss by West Virginia this season. Hagerstown is the only club in the league that is undefeated in extra inning play (1-0). The Power and Shorebirds have the second-best winning percentage when playing extra innings. Both West Virginia and Delmarva are now 6-1 in bonus baseball.

LONG HAUL: John Bormann's 17 game on-base streak is the longest by any Power player this season and is also the longest active such streak in the South Atlantic League. The Power catcher has reached safely in every game he has played this season.

MAKE THE DAYS COUNT: The Power have 13 games left in the first half and sit seven and a half games back of Hagerstown in the Northern Division. 11 of the final 13 games in the first half will be played against Southern Division. 26 of West Virginia's 56 games this season have been against teams for the Northern Division. Only Lexington has faced divisional opponents less than the Power (19 total games within the Southern Division)

POWER POINTS: The Pittsburgh Pirates added right-handed pitcher Gage Hinsz from Extended Spring Training on Friday. To clear room for Gage Hinsz, the Pirates transferred Mitch Keller to Extended Spring Training... Mitchell Tolman went 1-6 with a walk on Monday to extend his on-base streak to 15 straight... Christian Kelley's three hit game Monday was his sixth multi-hit game this season but first with more than two... Monday's four error game by the Power matches the most miscues the club has committed in any one game this season.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh's game with the New York Mets was postponed due to rain. The Pirates and Metropolitans will play two today... Indianapolis bested Columbus 7-1 Tyler Glasnow struck out five in his sixth win of the year... Altoona was pelted 10-4 by Erie. David Whitehead allowed all ten runs over three innings in the loss... Bradenton's game was cancelled due to the effects of Tropical Storm Colin.

PROMO UPDATE: The Power host the Delmarva Shorebirds this evening on Pets in the Park Night. Pet tickets are available for $3 with all money collected going to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association.
