PREVIEW: Delmarva and West Virginia continue their three game series tonight after last night's nearly 5 hour game that ended exactly as the clock struck midnight. The Shorebirds are five games behind division-leading Hagerstown with 14 games to play as they look to clinch a playoff spot. West Virginia is the Class A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates and they've lost three in a row, falling to fifth place in the division. After Delmarva only won three of 15 meetings last season with the Power, they've already won three of the first four this year. Since the Shorebirds opened the season with a 4-6 mark and lost two of the first three series, they have a series record of 8-3-2 over their last 13 sets, going 27-18 over that stretch. Delmarva was just swept for the first time all year on Saturday night in Greensboro.

TONIGHT'S OPPONENT: Right-hander JT Brubaker gets the ball from Brian Esposito in the middle game of the series. Brubaker needs to give the Power some length, after they used four of their eight available bullpen arms in last night's 13-inning affair. Brubaker has rebounded nicely to win each of his last two starts, snapping a stretch of five straight losing decisions (including one against Delmarva). Brubaker was selected out of the University of Akron in the 6th round last summer.

LAST GAME QUICK HITS: Delmarva's bullpen saved the day, collectively allowing one earned run in 12.1 innings as the 'Birds beat West Virginia 9-5 in 13 innings. The game last 4:51, which along with the 13 innings, made the contest the longest played game of the season (time-wise by almost an hour). Ryan Mountcastle and DJ Stewart each had four hit efforts, while Alex Murphy and Ademar Rifaela's 13th inning run-producing hits sparked the late comeback rally.
