Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - Early first and third period goals lifted the Las Vegas Wranglers 2-1 over the Bakersfield Condors tonight, kicking off the team's final five home games of the regular season with a win.
Just 2:25 into the first, Wranglers left wing Adam Hughesman put the team on the board for a quick 1-0 lead. The score held through the second as Wranglers goaltender Mitch O'Keefe and Condors goaltender Brian Stewart stopped 17 shots apiece after 40 minutes.
Bakersfield evened the score 1-1 three minutes into the third, scoring on a shot from center Nicholas Tremblay. Less than two minutes later, Las Vegas regained the one-goal lead as Wranglers center Chris Francis posted his 21st goal of the season. The Condors pulled Stewart for the man advantage in the final minute of play, but the 2-1 score held, securing the victory for the Wranglers. In his second win in a row, O'Keefe allowed one goal on a combined 52 shots.
