March 20, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
San Francisco Bulls News Release

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that they have clinched a 2013 Kelly Cup Playoff berth in their inaugural season. The Kelly Cup Playoffs begin the first week of April.

The Bulls clinched a playoff spot on Tuesday with the Bakersfield Condors' regulation loss to the Las Vegas Wranglers. Of the four expansion teams in the ECHL this season, the Bulls will likely be the whole team to make the postseason.

With six games remaining, the Bulls sit in eighth place with a chance to move into seventh. If the playoffs began today, they would face the Alaska Aces in a best-of-seven Western Conference Quarterfinal matchup. Alaska can still be caught by the second-place Ontario Reign, who sit six points back, and the Idaho Steelheads, who sit eight points back. The regular season concludes on Saturday, March 30.

The Bulls have four games remaining on home ice, including this Friday and Saturday against the Stockton Thunder. Friday marks Breast Cancer Awareness Night to benefit the Seton Medical Center Foundation. The first 2,000 women, 18 and over receive a pink SF Bulls hat, courtesy of Seton Medical Center. On Saturday, the Bulls host LGBTQ Night to benefit the You Can Play Project and SF Pride. At the game, the Bulls will auction off their game-worn orange jerseys.

The Bulls are offering a "Pay as We Play" Pack - 1b with savings as high as $15 per series off the walkup prices. The Bulls will play up to three games at home for each round of the playoffs.

Individual Kelly Cup Playoff tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster and the Cow Palace box office at 10 am on Wednesday, March 20.
