Reign Welcome Hauswirth and Condon

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, have signed goaltender Mike Condon from Princeton University and right wing Jake Hauswirth from the CHL's Arizona Sundogs.

Condon, 22, will make his professional debut between the pipes with the Reign, right out of Princeton University. This season he posted a personal-best 0.923 save percentage and 2.48 goals-against average with 24 games played.

After a four-year collegiate career, the Needham, MA goaltender posted a 0.912 save percentage, 2.66 goals-against average, and three shutouts in a combined 53 appearances.

Hauswirth, 25, joins the Reign from the CHL's Arizona Sundogs where he appeared in 44 games this season. In that time the winger scored 15 goals and assisted on 13 for a total of 28 points.

The Houghton, WI native spent the 2011-12 season between the CHL, AHL and ECHL with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, Texas Stars, and Idaho Steelheads; playing in the latter two as part of the Dallas Stars' organization.

Hauswirth, a four-year pro, made his professional debut in the ECHL with the South Carolina Stingrays in 2009. From 2009 until the end of last season, Hauswirth had registered 82 points (37g, 45a) in 163 professional games with a an overall +11 rating.

Condon and Hauswirth are both expected to play in Wednesday's game against the Idaho Steelheads. Condon will wear number 35 and Hauswirth will wear number 23.
