Gladiators Shuffle Roster; Three Players Called Up

Goaltender Mike Lee has been assigned to the Gladiators while netminder Mark Visentin has been called up to the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League. In a separate transaction, forward Jason Clark has been re-assigned from the Gladiators to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL by the New York Islanders of the NHL. In addition, Tyler Murovich has been re-assigned to the Gladiators from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL while Alex Belzile has been signed by the Bulldogs to an AHL Player Tryout Agreement.

Lee returns to Gwinnett after he appeared in seven games with Portland. The netminder earned a 3-2-1-0 record in his most recent stint in the AHL. Lee has earned a 2.76 goals against average and a .915 save percentage in 10 AHL games this season. The Rouseau, Minnesota native currently ranks fourth among all ECHL netminders with a .916 save percentage and a 2.23 goals against average in 27 games this season with Gwinnett. He has notched a 14-11-1-0 record with the Gladiators this season.

Visentin heads back to AHL Portland after he made 26 saves in a 3-2 win over Orlando on March 17th in his only ECHL start this season. He has notched a 2.85 goals against average and a .909 save percentage in 22 AHL games with Portland this season.

Clark returns to Bridgeport where he has earned two assists in four AHL games this season. Assigned to Gwinnett on December 3rd, the Eden Prarie, Minnesota native has earned nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 24 games with Gwinnett.

Murovich earned four points (one goal, four assists) in 18 games with Hamilton after he was recalled to the AHL on January 13th. Prior to his call-up to the AHL, Murovich earned 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) in 38 games this season with Gwinnett.

Belzile makes his first career trip to the AHL. He began the season with the Wheeling Nailers but did not appear in any games before he was released on October 18th and signed by Gwinnett as a free agent on November 14th. He has earned 30 points (10 goals, 20 assists) in 40 games with the Gladiators this season.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
