ELMIRA, N.Y. - March 20, 2013 - Tonight the Elmira Jackals continue their playoff push by embarking on a four game home stretch spanning five days. The Trenton Titans come to town for the first time since late January to face the Jackals for the second time in four days.

The Jackals are facing the Titans tonight for the 14th of 16 meetings and sixth of eight at First Arena. The Jackals are 8-4-1 against Trenton this season which includes a 3-2-0 mark on home ice. The Jackals last hosted Trenton on January 27 (52 days ago), and rolled to their biggest win of the season. The 8-1 triumph provided their largest margin of victory, and was their highest goal output in a game. After claiming a 6-3 win in their most recent game against Trenton, the Jackals are averaging 4.7 goals per game against the Titans. Trenton has held Elmira under three goals twice this season and won both games. The Jackals have fashioned a record of 30-10-3 when scoring three or more goals in a game.
The Jackals boast the fifth-best home defense in the league with 84 goals allowed (2.71 per game). If they maintain their current pace, the Jackals would surrender 97 goals at home this season which would be the second time they gave up less than 100 at home. They set their best mark in 2011-12 with 95 goals against and a 2.64 team goals-against average. Trenton (2.98) and Fort Wayne (2.91), Elmira's remaining home opponents, score less than three per game on average.
