--- The Wolves managed to overcome a three-goal, first-period deficit but
were victimized by two markers in the final frame as they fell, 6-4, against
the Milwaukee Admirals at the Allstate Arena
--- Left wing RAMZI ABID led Chicago with two goals and forwards KARL
STEWART and BILLY TIBBETTS each added one
--- Netminders MICHAEL GARNETT (2-5) and ADAM BERKHOEL (29-32) combined for
31 saves in BERKHOEL's loss

launching three goals in the third period to defeat the Iowa Stars, 6-3, at

eight-game point streak (Dec. 29 to Jan. 21) ... Racked up 18 points (8G,
10A) during the streak ... Shares 11th in the AHL with a team-high 45 points
and second with a team-most 13 power-play markers ... Paces the Wolves with
22 goals and 23 assists
--- PAT DWYER: Held scoreless in back-to-back games after posting a point in
each of his previous five games ... Tallied one goal and seven assists
during his streak, which includes matching a season-high two assists three
times ... Ranks sixth on the club with 22 points in 38 tilts ... Shares
first on the team and second among AHL rookies with two short-handed markers
--- KARL STEWART: Recorded four points (2G, 2A) in his last three games,
which includes matching a season-high two assists and three points on Friday
... Shares second on the team with 12 goals in 34 contests, four shy of the
career-high 16 he set in 77 games with Chicago last season
--- BILLY TIBBETTS: Accrued five points (2G, 3A) in his last four games
after being held to one goal in his previous four ... Ranks fourth on the
Wolves with 11 goals and leads the squad with 128 penalty minutes in 19
games
WOLF TRACKS
--- Sunday's shutout was Chicago's first at home during the regular season
since being blanked by the Milwaukee Admirals, 2-0, on Dec. 10, 2003.
--- The Wolves picked up their 500th regular-season win in last Wednesday's
7-3 victory against Omaha; captain DEREK MacKENZIE's three-goal effort that
night was Chicago's 51st all-time regular season hat trick.
--- The Wolves have allowed three or more goals in each of their last 19
games, giving up an average of 4.16 markers per outing during that stretch
--- After playing nine of their last 13 games at the Allstate Arena, the
Wolves launch a season-high five-game road swing starting in San Antonio on
Friday.

Chicago recorded 17 goals in three games from Jan. 18 to 21, the most markers it has registered in three straight contests since posting 17 on Feb. 12 (7), Feb. 13 (5) and Feb. (5), 1999 - a span of 556 regular-season outings.

On Tue., Jan. 24, Wolves center JARED ROSS will visit the Naperville Public Library, 200 West Jefferson St., at 4 p.m., and the Indian Prairie Public Library in Darien, 401 Plainfield Road, at 6:30 p.m., as part of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, which has reached nearly 370,000 children in 10 seasons.
