Bridgeport Islanders News Release
SOUND TIGERS WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT STEVE REGIER Left Wing - Shoots: Left
Height: 6'5'' Weight: 205 lbs
Born: August 31, 1984 in Edmonton, Alberta
Selected 5th, 148th overall, by the NY Islanders in the 2004 NHL draft
What is the difference between being a second-year pro and being a rookie?
I don't have to carry as many bags! Actually, the experience I gained last year helps me play with more poise this season.
What about playing this season as compared to during last year's lockout?
There's so much more player movement. Last year, we had most of the same guys all season.
What about your second year living in the metro New York area?
It's not as big of a deal anymore. I mean, people who come to visit still get excited to go into the city and see everything, but to me, it's the same old...same old.
Two-part question; what do you like the most and what to you like the least about living in the US as compared to Canada?
The best part is that the taxes are lower; the worst part is there are no Tim Hortons.
Three-part question then; when you order a coffee at Tim Hortons and ask for a "single-single" or a "double-double", etc., which one is the cream and which one is the sugar?
Cream always comes first, so if you order a "triple-single", you get a light coffee that's not too sweet.
One last thing, who's the most talkative guy on the team?
Brigley!
