Moose Release Matt Craig from PTO

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have released centre Matt Craig from his pro tryout contract.

Craig, 23, did not see action with the Moose during his initial pro tryout contract due to a foot injury. In 37 games this year with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, the London , ON native has scored 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points and 28 penalty minutes. This week, he will play in the ECHL All-Star Game in Fresno, CA on Wednesday. Craig also spent four seasons at Quinnipac University where he played 140 games and scored 60 goals and 133 points, along with 137 penalty minutes.
