LAST WEEK: The Senators dropped back into a tie for sixth place in the East Division last weekend. Both Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Norfolk beat the Senators 6-2.

FRIDAY, JAN. 20TH vs. WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON (2-6 L): The league-leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins scored on four of 15 power-play chances in a 6-2 win at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday. Defenseman DANIEL FERNHOLM and winger RICO FATA each had one goal and one assist in the win. FATA'S goal was scored on a successful penalty shot as the Senators have now allowed three of the American Hockey League's 10 successful penalty shots this season. DENIS HAMEL and DANNY BOIS each scored for the Senators. AHL All-Star DANY SABOURIN stopped 31 of 33 shots as he improved to 18-3-1 on the season. STEVE MARTINS assisted on both goals to extend his point scoring streak to six games. Binghamton was outshot 44 to 33 in the game, and allowed a franchise record 25 shots on goal in the second period.

SATURDAY, JAN. 21ST vs. NORFOLK (2-6 L): Binghamton fell behind 3-0 for a third straight game on Saturday night against Norfolk. Center MATT CULLEN, the brother of B-Sens forward JOE CULLEN, had a hat trick and two assists to pace the Admirals. Two of CULLEN'S goals came on the power play as Norfolk converted on three of 10 chances. Right wing CARL CORAZZINI had one goal and two assists. DENIS HAMEL scored his 25th goal of the season early in the second period and defenseman BRENNAN EVANS had his second goal in four games. KELLY GUARD stopped 38 of 44 shots for the Senators while COREY CRAWFORD made 25 saves on 27 shots in his 10th consecutive start.

THIS WEEK: Binghamton begins its longest stretch of the season away from the Arena - five games - beginning on Friday night with a game in Albany against the River Rats. The Sens will then hit the road for games at Hershey on Saturday and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.

FRIDAY, JAN. 27TH @ ALBANY (7 p.m.): Binghamton has won two straight games against Albany this season since losing the first meeting on Nov. 19. The Sens own a 20-6-3-1-1 record all time against Albany including a 10-4-1-1-0 mark on the road. DENIS HAMEL leads all scorers with five goals and two assists in the season series. Albany and Binghamton will not meet again until March 22 at the Arena.

SATURDAY, JAN. 28TH @ HERSHEY (7 p.m.): Binghamton and Hershey will meet for the fifth time this season on Saturday. The Bears lead the season series with a 3-1-0-0 record, but Binghamton blanked the Bears 4-0 in the last meeting on Jan. 7. Binghamton winger JEFF HEEREMA (4 goals, 2 assists) and Hershey forward TOMAS FLEISCHMANN (2 goals, 4 assists) lead the season series in scoring with six points each. Hershey has converted on 10 of 37 power plays (27.0%) against Binghamton this season. The Senators have also had power play success, scoring on six of 27 chances (22.2%).

SUNDAY, JAN. 29TH @ WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON (5:05 p.m.): Penguins center ERIK CHRISTENSEN has five points (1 goal, 4 assists) in two games against Binghamton this season. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton beat the Senators last Friday night for the third straight time this season. The Penguins have outscored the Senators 15 to 4 in the three previous meetings. All time, Binghamton has a 13-10-4-0-0 record against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the regular season.

GLASS TO PLAY IN ECHL ALL-STAR GAME: The ECHL announced on Saturday that Charlotte Checkers goaltender JEFF GLASS has been added to the American Conference roster for the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game to be played at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. on Jan. 25. Glass replaces Cody Rudkowsky, who was injured while playing in a game for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Jan. 20. Selected in the third round (89th overall) by Ottawa in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, and under contract to the Senators, the 20-year-old Glass is 9-5-3 with a goals-against average of 3.04 and a save percentage of .913 in 17 games with Charlotte and has a 1-3-0 record with a goals-against average of 4.12 and a save percentage of .882 in five games with the B-Sens.

SENS SNIPPETS: Center STEVE MARTINS had an assist on Saturday and now has points in an AHL career high seven straight games (3 goals, 8 assists). MARTINS previously had points in six straight games between Nov. 12, 1995 and Jan. 27, 1996 while playing for the Springfield Falcons...The Sens played seven of their last eight games on home ice and finished the stretch with a record of 4-4-0-0. Seven of the Senators next eight games are on the road beginning with five straight away from the Arena beginning this weekend...Binghamton's last overtime game came on Dec. 16 against Norfolk...B-Sens captain and all-star winger DENIS HAMEL is closing in on 100 goals, 200 points and 200 games as a Binghamton Senator. He currently has 93 goals and 194 points in 197 regular season games and can reach his 200th game on Sunday in Wilkes-Barre. He is the all-time franchise leader in both goals and points and is closing in on CHRISTOPH SCHUBERT (216 games) for the all-time lead in regular season games played.

SENS IN THE COMMUNITY: Several B-Sens will be at the American Red Cross blood drive at the Oakdale Mall today in Johnson City from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The players will greet fans and sign autographs during the blood drive...On Thursday, some of the B-Sens players will participate in a charity basketball game at 6:30 p.m. inside Johnson City Middle School. Johnson City firefighters and the B-Sens will face a team consisting of faculty from the Johnson City School District. The public is invited to watch the game for a $1 donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
