
Marlies enhance coverage on AM640 Toronto Radio

Toronto Marlies News Release
In conjunction with AM640 Toronto Radio, the Toronto Marlies today announced an expansion of their broadcast partnership for the 2005-06 American Hockey League season. All remaining regular-season and playoff games will now be available via webcast through www.640toronto.com. Marlies' games will continue to be available on the team's website - www.torontomarlies.com.
In addition to now having all games available on their website, AM640 Toronto Radio has tacked-on five more regular season broadcasts to their program schedule. Three of the five games will take place in March (Sun., March 5th at Philadelphia, Sun. March 19th vs. Iowa, and Sun. March 26th vs. Milwaukee) when games generally take-on extra-significance as playoffs loom.
"The Marlies have become a big part of our sports programming as Toronto hockey fans have started to realize that these guys are the Leafs of tomorrow," said AM640 Toronto Radio Director of Sports Programming Jeff Marek. "We're thrilled to be growing this partnership and taking it to the next level."
AM640 Toronto Radio will also broadcast the 2006 RBK Hockey AHL All-Star Classic live from Winnipeg on February 1, 2006. The game will feature Toronto forward John Pohl who was named to the starting lineup of PlanetUSA when rosters were announced on January 11th. John Bartlett will call the action beginning with the pre-game show at 7:30 EST.
