Weather Suspends Friday Night's Game, Doubleheader Set for Saturday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Fort Wayne TinCaps and Beloit Sky Carp (Miami Marlins affiliate) had their game

on Friday night at Parkview Field suspended by lightning and rain during the bottom of the second inning with two outs and no one on base. The score was 0-0.

The suspended game will resume on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. The game remains scheduled for nine innings.

Following the conclusion of the suspended game and a 30-minute intermission, the TinCaps and Sky Carp will play another game scheduled for seven innings.

Tickets for Saturday are good for both games of the doubleheader.

Fans who had tickets to Friday's game may redeem them for a future game at Parkview Field during the 2023 season. Click here for the team's schedule. A season-high crowd of 5,799 fans were in attendance Friday.

Saturday is Mental Health Awareness Night. The TinCaps will wear special jerseys that are being auctioned off on TinCapsJersey.com with proceeds benefitting Fort Wayne's chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Fireworks will follow the conclusion of the second game on Saturday night.
