Veilleux Assigned to Wheeling

WHEELING, WVA. - It was announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned forward Keven Veilleux from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
Veilleux, 23, has registered two goals and an assist for Wheeling over four games this season. He has also made four appearances with the Penguins, recording seven penalty minutes
Veilleux, a second-round draft pick (51st overall) of Pittsburgh in 2007, totaled 12 goals, 24 assists and 122 penalty minutes over 66 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2010-11. He missed the 2011-12 season due to injury.
The Nailers are home for three games this weekend starting tonight when they host the first place Reading Royals. $1 draft beer will be served through the first intermission. On Saturday night the first 2,500 fans will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of WesBanco Bank. Bring the family Sunday afternoon when the Nailers host the South Carolina Stingrays. The family four pack includes four game tickets, hotdogs, sodas, and one large popcorn for just $54. Following the game fans can skate with the Nailers players.
