San Francisco Bulls News Release
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that center Colin Reddin was signed. In addition, Bulls defenseman Sacha Guimond has been loaned to the team's AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks. It is Guimond's first AHL call-up. Scott Langdon was also assessed a two-game suspension for his hit on Mathieu Tousignant on Thursday.
Reddin, 22, comes to the Bulls after beginning the season with the Huntsville Havoc of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). With Huntsville, the 6-foot, 187-pound, Corona Del Mar, California native led the team with 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists) in 27 games. Last season in the SPHL, with the Mississippi Surge and Huntsville, Reddin totaled 33 points in 46 games. He also chipped in with six points in five playoff games with Huntsville. Reddin played in five games with the Las Vegas Wranglers in 2010-11, earning two assists. Prior to turning pro, Reddin produced 101 points (33 goals, 68 assists) in 232 Western Hockey League games with the Portland Winterhawks, Regina Pats and Prince Albert Raiders. He was also a member of the esteemed U.S. National Under-18 program.
Guimond, 21, heads to Worcester after leading all Bulls defensemen in goals (7), assists (18) and points (25). Guimond ranks third in the ECHL in points among defensemen. Guimond will join other former Bulls, Mikael Tam and Daniil Tarasov, in Worcester.
