Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

West Valley City, Utah - A four-goal second period, including three goals in less than five minutes, gave the Las Vegas Wranglers a 5-1 victory over the Utah Grizzlies tonight.

A scoreless first period saw the Wranglers outshoot the Grizzlies 19-13, and that momentum carried over into the second when a flurry of goals quickly put Las Vegas up 3-0. At the 7:54 mark, Wranglers center Judd Blackwater scored the first goal of the game, and less than three minutes later, left wing Adam Hughesman made it 2-0 for Las Vegas. For the 3-0 lead, Wranglers right wing Sean Wiles tallied his tenth goal of the season, and with his first goal of the year, defenseman Channing Boe put the Grizzlies in a 4-0 hole in the last 29 seconds of the period.

Utah got on the board 3:46 into the third, off the stick of forward Ian Schultz, making it a 4-1 game. The Wranglers added a final goal from center Chris Francis in the last four minutes of the game, though, to take the first of a two-game road series 5-1.

The Wranglers play two more road games, against the Grizzlies tomorrow and the Ontario Reign on Wednesday, Jan. 16, before returning home on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 7:05 p.m. to face the Colorado Eagles. For that game, the team will wear specialty 10th "FANniversary" jerseys featuring photos of 10-year season ticket holders, and celebrate the milestone throughout the game. The jerseys, presented by Diamondback Land Surveying, will be auctioned during the game on the Orleans Arena concourse and proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital of Nevada at UMC.

Groups of ten or more can sit together starting at $13 per ticket, and feature perks such as in-game group recognition and "buy one, get one free" Chuck-A-Puck vouchers.
