TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After disposing of the Orlando Solar Bears on Wednesday, the Cyclones will return to division play tonight as they kick off a three-game weekend against the Fort Wayne Komets. While tonight's contest is the only home battle of the weekend, Cincinnati will look to preserve its first place spot, holding a slim four-point edge over their Indiana-rivals.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: Cyclones Winter Hat Night - The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a FREE Cyclones Winter Hat courtesy of Sport Clips!

SCOUTING THE KOMETS: Al Simms' club is looking to make up ground in the North Division without a few of its best players. Fort Wayne's ECHL All-Star defenseman Daniel Maggio has been promoted to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers while forward Cory Elkins was called up to the AHL's Norfolk Admirals on Thursday. To make matters worse for the Komets, Thomas Beauregard has been placed on the 21-day IR list. They are still led offensively by Brandon Marino, who is the ECHL's active leader in scoring; the talented fifth-year forward has earned 43 points (11 goals, 32 assists) in 37 games and also paces the league in assists. Marco Cousineau has played in three of the Komets last four games, collecting a 3-3-0 record overall this year and a 3.17 goals-against average. Kenny Reiter, who earned the win over Cincinnati last Saturday, is 9-6-0-1 in 2012-13 with a GAA of 3.12.

Finding His Stride: Cyclones center Mike Pelech has really turned up his game of late. He has earned points in eight of his last 11 games and has four multi-point games in the same stretch. Pelech has surged to the top of the Cincinnati scoring list with 29 tallies in 35 games.

A Great Start: New Cincinnati defenseman Taylor Ellington has had a strong beginning to his career in the Queen City - registering points in three of his first four games in a Cyclones jersey. He is currently eighth among ECHL rear guards in scoring.
