
Trio Called up to AHL Portland

Atlanta Gladiators News Release
Forwards Scott Arnold and Evan Bloodoff have been called up to the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. In addition, defenseman Russ Sinkewich has been signed to a Player Tryout Agreement with the Pirates.
Arnold and Bloodoff both return to Portland where they began the 2012-13 season. In eight AHL games before he was assigned to Gwinnett, Arnold collected two assists for the Pirates. Arnold has earned eight points (three goals, five assists) in nine games with Gwinnett since he was assigned to the Gladiators on December 20th.
The rookie out of Niagara University earned 18 points (10 goals, eight assists) last year. He posted 40 points (26 goals, 14 assists) in 67 career collegiate games in two seasons with Niagara University.
Bloodoff did not register a point in one AHL game before he was assigned to Gwinnett on October 22nd. Bloodoff ranks third in scoring on Gwinnett with 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists) in 33 games with the Gladiators this season.
The Nelson, British Columbia native recorded eight points (six goals, two assists) in 48 games with Portland in his rookie season last year.
Bloodoff skated five seasons with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League from 2005-2011. He compiled 103 points (56 goals, 47 asssists) in 290 career junior games with the Rockets.
Bloodoff was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes with the 157th overall pick in the 6th round of the 2009 NHL Draft.
Sinkewich was acquired by the Gladiators from the Alaska Aces on December 13th in exchange for Chris Clackson. In 11 games with Gwinnett, Sinkewich earned five points (three goals, two assist) and totaled two penalty minutes. His three goals have all been game-winning goals for Gwinnett. Sinkwich earned four assists in 23 games with Alaska before he joined the Gladiators.
The Westlake, Ohio native has appeared in 41 career AHL games from 2008 through 2012. He skated in a career high 21 games last season with the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.
Sinkewich has five points, all assists, in 95 career collegiate games with Bowling Green State University from 2005-2009.
The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
