West Valley City, Utah - Trevor Baker scored two first period goals and the Utah Grizzlies hung on 6-5 over Idaho Tuesday night at the E-Center.

Once again, the Grizzlies scored early, with Trevor Baker lighting the lamp at 2:33. Less than two minutes later, the newly acquired Grizzlies forward scored a shorthanded goal for Utah, giving the team an early 2-0 lead. The shorthanded goal was the first of the year scored by Utah. Idaho got within one in the final minute of the period with a Jonathan Zion goal.

In the second, the Grizzlies added three goals with Louis Dumont, Travis Rycroft and Ed Hill finding the back of the net. The Grizzlies led 5-2 after forty minutes.

In the third, Idaho stormed back with three goals making it 6-5. Following a couple of timeouts in the final ten seconds, Justin Cox shot the puck wide of Utah netminder Justin Eddy and the Grizzlies hung on.

Trevor Baker (2 goals, 2 assists) and Ryan Kinasewich (1 goal, 3 assists) both had four point nights for Utah. Louis Dumont and Ed Hill each tallied one goal and one assist in the game.

Each team scored three power-play goals; Idaho and Utah each finished the evening with 39 shots.

The Grizzlies return home Saturday and Sunday for a pair of 6:05 p.m. face-offs with Las Vegas. The Grizzlies are in Las Vegas Friday evening.
