In a Nutshell Utah finished their recent home stand 3-1. The Grizzlies return home Saturday and Sunday for 6:05 p.m. starts with Las Vegas.

A Chance to Help Their Own Cause The Grizzlies are in the middle of a five-game-in-seven-night set versus teams (Las Vegas and Idaho) above them in the standings in the ECHL's West Division. They are currently 1-1 during this set.

Big Night! Last night versus Idaho, newcomer Trevor Baker (2 goals, 2 assists) and Ryan Kinasewich (1 goal, 3 assists) each had four-point nights for the Grizzlies. For Kinasewich, it marks his second four-point evening in the last five games. Both players have been mid-season acquisitions.

But Who is Trevor Baker? Last Tuesday, the Grizzlies announced the signing of Trevor Baker. He played in Peoria the last six seasons accumulating 310 games, 82 goals, 177 assists and 986 penalty minutes. He scored a goal and got into a fight last Wednesday in his first game with the Grizzlies.

And Who Does He Know? Baker and Grizzlies Head Coach Jason Christie were teammates during the 1999-00 season in Peoria. The season was Baker's first as a pro, and Christie's tenth and final season as a player. The Rivermen won the ECHL's Kelly Cup after dropping the first two games at home.

Home Slice West Valley City, Utah native D.J Jelitto continues to produce. Monday, he scored his third goal in four games. Thursday, December 22nd he scored his second professional goal and also single-handedly set up several Utah scoring chances in their 5-2 win over Victoria. Just two games before, he scored his first professional goal in the first period Saturday, December 17th, knocking in a rebound. He made it a multi-point night in the third, picking up an assist on Utah's tying goal that forced overtime. The 21-year-old was also charged with a fighting major in the game, completing the *Gordie Howe Hat Trick.*

Miles Called Up To AHL Utah forward Jeff Miles was loaned to the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals yesterday. In 28 games with the Grizzlies this season, the University of Vermont product tallied 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points. Eight of his twelve goals came in the third period. He also had seven multi-point games with Utah.

850 Points for Louis Monday night with two assists, Louis Dumont scored his 850th professional point. Last night, the Utah captain added one goal and one assist. He is also the ECHL's all-time leader in points (845) and assists (529.)

Another Milestone for Dumont Thursday versus Victoria, Louis Dumont played in his 750th professional hockey game. He is currently second all-time in the league in games played (728), behind Cam Brown of Gwinnett (742.)

That's A Plus Despite not scoring his first point of the season until last night, Ian Forbes is a +12 in his last nine games for Utah.

Not To Be Short Changed Last night in the first period, Trevor Baker scored the Grizzlies' first shorthanded goal of the year, giving Utah a 2-0 lead.
