
Later Reassigned From Toronto and Ice Pilots Sign Four Players

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that defenseman Steven Later has been reassigned to the Ice Pilots from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League and Jan Steber has been activated from the seven day injured reserve list.
The Ice Pilots also announced that defenseman John Fieweger, forward Derrell Upton, forward Luke Pelham and forward Jan Arvonen have signed contracts with the team.
Later has played in 16 games with the Ice Pilots this season scoring one goal, five assists for six points picking up 48 penalty minutes and Steber has played in 11 games for the Ice Pilots this season scoring one goal, three assists for four points picking up two penalty minutes.
Fieweger, who stands 6'5" and weighs 225 pounds, played in five games with Phoenix of the ECHL this season picking up two penalty minutes. He also has played in three games with Tulsa of the CHL picking up 13 penalty minutes and has played in two games with Jacksonville of the SPHL picking up one assist. He is 22 years old.
Upton, who stands 6'1" and weighs 205 pounds, has played in 13 games for Jacksonville of the SPHL this season scoring 3 goals, 10 assists for 13 points picking up 28 penalty minutes. He played in 59 games last year with Fort Worth of the CHL scoring 11 goals, 8 assists for 19 points picking up 12 penalty minutes.
Upton also played in 42 games for Fort Worth during the 2003-2004 season scoring 9 goals, 18 assists for 27 points picking up 14 penalty minutes. He also has played for Amarillo and El Paso of the CHL, Lake Charles of the WPHL and North Bay, Oshawa and Erie of the OHL. Upton is 26 years old from Toronto, Ontario and shoots right.
Pelham, who stands 6'5" and weighs 215 pounds, has played in 26 games for Jacksonville of the SPHL scoring 5 goals, 8 assists for 13 points picking up 24 penalty minutes.
Pelham played for both Moncton and Gatineau of the QMJHL during the 2001-2005 seasons playing in a total of 188 games scoring 21 goals, 25 assists for 46 points picking up 417 penalty minutes. He is 21 years old from Halifax, Nova Scotia and shoots left.
Arvonen, who stands 6' and weighs 181 pounds, played last season in Finland. He is 21 years old from Hameenlinna, Finland and shoots left.
The Ice Pilots will play their first of five straight home games tonight vs. Florida at 7:05 p.m. It is Family Night. Kids 12 and under get in free with a paid adult. Fans will be able to skate with the team after the game in a post game skate with the Ice Pilots' players. Admission to skate with the team after the game and skate rental is $8.
The Ice Pilots will host the Charlotte Checkers on Friday and Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will raise the 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Championship banner on Friday night and the first 2,000 fans will receive mini replica 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Championship banners. Bryson Busniuk and Pete Gardiner will also sign autographs after the game.
The first 1,000 fans will receive a 2006 calendar at Saturday's
home game. Fans can purchase individual home game tickets in person at the Civic
Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, charge by phone at 434-7444 or
