McConvey Recalled to Iowa

Boise, ID - The Idaho Steelheads, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and the AHL's Iowa Stars, announced today that center and team captain, D'Arcy McConvey, has been recalled to Iowa.

McConvey, a Richmond Hill, Ontario native, departs the Steelheads after a four-point (1g, 3a) performance in Tuesday night's 6-5 loss at the Utah Grizzlies. In 23 games with the Steelheads, McConvey has totaled 16 goals and 20 assists for 36 points. The 24-year-old ranks second on the team in scoring, while posting a +6 rating in ECHL play this season.

This is the second recall of the season for McConvey, the ECHL's second leading scorer. In three games with Iowa in November, McConvey registered seven shots and four penalty minutes.

McConvey will join the Iowa Stars (16-12-1-1) in time for tonight's contest at the Houston Aeros (23-8-1-1).
