Tyler Currier Returns to the Mavericks in Trade with Aces; Landon Oslanski Dealt to Alaska

INDEPENDENCE, MO (March 12, 2015)- The Missouri Mavericks announced Thursday afternoon that they have acquired former Mavs forward, Tyler Currier, from the Alaska Aces in exchange for defenseman Landon Oslanski.

"Currier is obviously a fan-favorite, and we are just as excited as the fans to get him back in the Mavericks lineup tomorrow evening," said Richard Matvichuk, Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations for the Missouri Mavericks.

Currier played thirty-five games for the Missouri Mavericks in his 2013-14 rookie season, notching 4 goals, 5 assists, and 22 penalty minutes. The 6'2" 206lb Anchorage, AK native skated in thirty-eight games for his home-state team this season, putting up 3 goals, 7 assists and 46 penalty minutes.

The Missouri Mavericks play their next game at home on Friday, Mar. 13 at Independence Events Center against the Brampton Beast. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm (CST). The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a trading card giveaway set featuring the Missouri Mavericks mascot, Mac! Doors open at 5:30pm (CST).
