Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels thank everyone who wrote in their suggestions for the "Name our Giant Pretzel" contest. Over 80 entries were submitted in the month of April to be considered for our new menu item, a 2 lb. soft pretzel. On Friday, May 6th during our pre-game ceremony before our 6:35 pm game with the Burlington Bees, we will unveil the name for our NEW 2 lb. pretzel. Available now, the pretzel is made to order and available plain with your choice of three dipping sauces or covered in cheese for $15 and chili-cheese for $20 and is delivered to your seat.
Tonight is a 100.7 The Fox Thirsty Thursday where 12 oz. draft beers are $1.50 and 20 oz. bottled soda and water are $2.
Tickets may be purchased on-line at www.kernels.com, or by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at 896-7560. Ticket office hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday.
