Last Week

Tuesday, LAS VEGAS 5 vs. Condors 1

Bakersfield trailed 3-0 before getting on the scoreboard, but Vegas G Marc Magliarditi wouldn't let the Condors any closer as they suffered a 5-1 defeat to the Wranglers. Despite Las Vegas' 7th-place standing in the West Division, the season series has been tough for Bakersfield, who is 4-4 against their desert rivals.

Friday, CONDORS 3 vs. Alaska 1; attn: 5,621

Kevin St. Jacques had a goal and an assist to reach the 900-point mark in his career and the Aces ruined Yutaka Fukufuji's bid for a fourth shutout with just 1:53 remaining as the Condors pulled within two points of Alaska in the West Division standings.

Saturday, CONDORS 4 vs. Alaska 1; attn: 5,758

The Condors scored three times in the third period to blow a close game wide open in a 4-1 win, moving Bakersfield into a first-place tie in the West Division. Connor James had two goals and an assist and Kevin St. Jacques had one goal and two assists. The Aces goal came with less than five minutes to play to again spoil Fukufuji's near-flawless performance late in the game.

Where we stand

At 38-17-9, the Condors own the second-best record in the National Conference and a share of the West Division lead along with the Alaska Aces with 85 points. Their lead is five points over third-place Long Beach and seven points over fourth-place Idaho, who has jumped past Fresno and moved into the final playoff spot.
