
Las Vegas Heads to Alaska For A Three-Game Set

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 2-1-1 record for the week starting with a 5-1 win at home over Bakersfield on Tuesday night. Friday night, the Wranglers fell 2-1 in overtime to the Fresno Falcons at the Orleans Arena. Saturday night, Las Vegas beat the San Diego Gulls 4-2 at the IPayOne Center. Sunday, Las Vegas fell in San Diego 4-3.
This week Las Vegas will play the final road games of the season in Anchorage, Alaska. The Wranglers play at 7:10 pm (8:10 pm PST) on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night at Sullivan Arena.

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Bakersfield Condors 5-1 on Tuesday night in front of 4,226 at the Orleans Arena. Left Wing Shawn Limpright scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Wranglers to the team's first win at home since January 31st. Wranglers' goalie Marc Magliarditi made 39 saves for his second straight win, ending the Wranglers seven-game winless skid (0-5-2) at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas center Jason Bonsignore scored a goal and assisted on another to help Las Vegas even the season series with Bakersfield at four wins a side.

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Fresno Falcons 2-1 in overtime in front of 5,575 fans Friday night. Wranglers' goaltender Marc Magliarditi made 50 saves in the losing effort. Forward Dan Tudin scored the only goal for Las Vegas. Fresno Wingers Terry Marchant and Derek Krestanovich each scored a goal for the Falcons in the win. Krestanovich's game-winning goal came just 1:49 into overtime on the power play.

Las Vegas 4 at San Diego 2
San Diego, CA â The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the San Diego Gulls 4-2 in San Diego on Saturday night. Las Vegas goalie Marc Magliarditi made 41 saves for the win, giving him 91 saves in his last two starts. Wranglers' forwards Marco Peluso, Darren Lynch and Jason Bonsignore each scored and added an assist as Las Vegas won in San Diego for the first time in three tries this season. Defenseman Deryk Engelland added the fourth goal of the contest as Las Vegas improved to 3-0-1 in their last four games.

San Diego, CA â The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the San Diego Gulls 4-3 in San Diego on Sunday night. San Diego's Joel Stepp scored twice to lead the Gulls over Las Vegas. Wranglers' forward Dan Tudin scored two goals and Shawn Limpright added the other in the Wranglers loss.
Wranglers Roster Shuffle
The Las Vegas Wranglers announced Friday the signing of defenseman Tim Hambly and left wing Marco Peluso. Both rookies are from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The Las Vegas Wranglers also announced Friday goalie Sebastien Centomo has been recalled by the Calgary Flames of the NHL and reassigned to the Long Beach Ice Dogs. In return, the Ice Dogs then traded the ECHL rights to goalie Chris Madden and future considerations to Las Vegas in exchange for Sebastien Centomo's ECHL rights.
This Week's Opponent-
Alaska Aces â (40-17-7, 87 Points) â The Wranglers are 1-1-1 against the Aces this season. The two teams have not played since a two-game series in Anchorage in December. The Aces lead Bakersfield by four points for first place in the west division. Alaska will come to Las Vegas for the final three games of the season. The Aces feature Scott Gomez, formerly of the NHL's New Jersey Devils. Gomez is three points behind Toledo's Carl Mallette for the ECHL scoring lead. Gomez has 11 goals and a league-leading 62 assists for 73 points in 55 games played. Alaska winger Chris Minard leads the ECHL with 43 goals in 61 games played and is third in overall scoring with 69 points. The Aces are 20-8-5 at Sullivan Arena this season. Goalie Peter Aubry is 24-11-7 on the year with a 2.35 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.
