March 21, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors and Texas Wildcatters completed their trade that started on Saturday when Ty Hennes and Frederic Belanger were dealt from the Condors along with future considerations for future considerations. In both instances, the futures were goalies, with Davis Parley coming in and Jason Wolfe going to Texas.

Parley, 22, is in his second professional season, both spent with the Wildcatters, who have struggled this year with the second lowest winning percentage in the league. He has a 3.54 goals against average (GAA) and a .915 save percentage in 27 appearances this season. He has faced an average of 39.26 shots per game this season in Texas. He won 18 games as a rookie in 2003-04, with a 3.98 GAA and .905 save percentage in 52 games with Texas team that also struggled in their first season of operation.

The Surrey, BC native was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the fourth round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and attended the 2003 and 2004 Calgary Flames training camps. He stopped 35 of 36 shots in his pro debut, after turning in a strong four-year career with the Kamloops Blazers in the Western Hockey League. Parley's 63-save performance in January of last season represents the second- highest single game save total in ECHL history.

Wolfe, 27, was acquired by the Condors from Mississippi on February 19th. He had only appeared in three games and had a 0-2-1 record with a 3.94 GAA and an .886 save percentage.

The Bakersfield Condors have teamed up with the Kern County Shrine Club & KUZZ 107.9 for this year's Tip-a-Condor to benefit the Shriners Childrens' Hospital. The annual event will be held tonight at the Crystal Palace from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with dinner being served from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The charity dinner features Condors players and coaches posing as waiters for an evening, serving food and drinks to patrons. Tickets to the event are $25.00, $12.00 for children under 10, with a full dinner and a live auction.

The Condors five-game homestand continues with a game against Long Beach on Tuesday, March 22nd. That night is the annual Help for the Homeless canned food drive, sponsored by HOT 94.1 and the Grocery Outlet. Anyone bringing in two non- perishable food items will get a voucher good for a $1 terrace seat to the game. The Condors "Win 10 to Win $10,000" promotion is still running, despite the ECHL's ruling of a forfeiture by the Condors of last Friday's game. One season ticket holder will be $10,000 richer if the Condors win their final 10 home games of the year (nine during the regular season and one in the playoffs), and Bakersfield is 3-0 since the promo started.
