The Johnstown Chiefs (20-28-14; 54 PTS; 7th North div.) ended their twelve game winless streak (0-9-3) on Friday night with a 4-1 win over Wheeling. The Chiefs did suffer losses against Peoria and Dayton. This week the Chiefs will play five games in seven days beginning with a pair of games at Peoria Tuesday and Wednesday. Friday night they travel to Reading and the Chiefs round out the weekend at Atlantic City Saturday and Sunday. The Chiefs are currently in seventh place in the North division and are now mathematically out of the playoffs with ten games remaining.

Game #60 (3/17/05) Peoria 7 - JOHNSTOWN 0

Thursday night, the Johnstown Chiefs suffered their worst loss of the season as they fell 7-0 at home to the Peoria Rivermen. Six different Peoria players scored in the game. David Cann (20 saves) started the game for the Chiefs, playing in two periods and allowing 6 goals. Bran Gratz allowed one goal and made 16 saves in the final period.

Game #61 (3/18/05) Johnstown 4 - WHEELING 1 Trovato Two Assists

The Chiefs snapped their twelve game (0-9-3) winless streak Friday night at Wheeling with a 4-1 win over the Nailers. Joe Tallari, Brent Kelly, P.L. Courchesne and Matt Reid all scored for the Chiefs. David Cann made 32 saves in the game.

Game #62 (3/19/05) DAYTON 7 - Johnstown 4 Tallari and Cavanagh Two Goals

For the second time in three games, the Chiefs allowed seven goals as Saturday night they fell 7-4 to the Dayton Bombers at the Nutter Center. Joe Tallari and Chad Cavanagh each had a pair of goals for the Chiefs. David Cann made 33 saves in the contest. The Bombers were led by Steve Dix with a hat trick.

Tuesday and Wednesday the Chiefs will play the Peoria Rivermen (32-22-7, 71 PTS; 6th North div.) for the final time ever, as the Rivermen move to the American Hockey League next season The Chiefs are 3-3-0 against the Rivermen this season. Peoria is 6-4-0 in their last ten games.

Friday night, the Chiefs travel to Reading to take on the Royals (36-18-7, 79 PTS; 2nd North div.) The Chiefs are 2-3-1 against the Royals this season. The Royals are 6-2-2 in their last ten games and have scored a North division high 187 goals.

The Chiefs close out the busy week with a pair of games at Atlantic City (36-20-8, 80 PTS; 1st North div.) on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs are 2-3-2 against the Boardwalk Bullies this season. This will be the final time the Chiefs travel to Atlantic City as the Bullies are moving to Stockton, CA next season.
