ON THE SCORESHEET

- Rinat Valiev registered his second multi-point game of the season, assisting on both Marlies goals in the second period.

- TJ Brennan assisted on the Marlies third period goal by Scott Harrington; Brennan leads all AHL defencemen with 27 points through 30 games this season.

- Scott Harrington recorded his first goal as a Marlie, the eventual game-winning goal.

- Andrew Campbell registered an assist in the second period; it was Campbell's 100th AHL point. Campbell was also a plus two on the afternoon raising his league leading plus/minus total to +20.

- Sam Carrick scored an empty net goal to seal the Marlies victory and extend his personal point streak to four games.

- Rich Clune picked up two assists and he is also on a four game point streak.

- Brendan Leipsic opened the scoring for the Marlies, recording his seventh goal of the season. He was named the game's first star.

- Richard Panik scored his eighth goal of the season and first goal in five games.

- Matt Frattin has recorded assists in back-to-back games for the Marlies.

- Nikita Soshnikov scored his ninth goal of the season to cap the Marlies scoring for the afternoon at five.

- Mark Arcobello recorded an assist on the second empty net goal for the Marlies as he improves his point streak to six games.

- Antoine Bibeau made 24 saves to earn his tenth victory of the year.

NOTABLES

- The Marlies are now 17-0-0-0 when leading after two periods and 11-0-0-0 when leading after the first period.

- With the victory the team is now on a 10 game point streak, collecting 19 of a possible 20 points during that span.

- Toronto is undefeated when scoring five or more goals in a game (12 games).

- The Marlies improve to 6-2-1-0 on Boxing Day.
