CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors host the Stockton Heat tonight at Rabobank Arena and will give away 10 HP Pro Slate 10 tablets. Everyone in attendance has a chance to win simply by filling out an enter to win form at the game. Winners will be announced in the third period.

TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors host the Stockton Heat following a five-day layoff for the Christmas break. It is the second meeting of the season at Rabobank Arena between the two sides. Bakersfield owns a 3-2-0 record against the Heat with the previous five meetings each decided by one goal. The teams have played three of their last four games against one another and still have six contests on the docket the rest of the season.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Bakersfield went 1-2-1 on a four-game road trip through Ontario, Stockton, and Sacramento. RW Matt Ford scored a late game-winning goal on Wednesday night in Stockton as G Ben Scrivens turned aside 44 shots. Outdoors on Saturday, C Kyle Platzer scored twice in a 3-2 loss. After a quick turnaround Sunday, Ford lit the lamp once again as the Condors fell in overtime at the Pacific Division leading Ontario Reign.

After their victory outside at Raley Field, the Stockton Heat jumped out to a 3-0 lead at San Jose on Sunday, only to see it evaporate in a 5-4 loss to the Barracuda. LW Morgan Klimchuk, drafted in the 1st round (#28 overall) by Calgary in 2013, scored his first pro goal in the loss.

SHOTS AGAINST MOUNT UP AGAINST STOCKTON

The Condors come into action against Stockton having allowed the fifth-most shots against per game at 33.32. Stockton has fired the most shots per game on average in the AHL at 36.41. In seven of their last 11 games, the Heat have fired 40+ shots on their opponents including 49 against the Condors on Nov. 27 and 46 on Dec. 16 in Stockton. However, the Condors were able to skate away with victories in both of those contests, thanks to stellar goaltending performances.

G Ben Scrivens has started the last five games for the Condors with a 2-2-1 record. He has stopped 162 of his last 172 shots for a .942 save percentage and a 2.02 goals-against average... RW Matthew Ford is on a three-game point streak (2g-1a)... C Kyle Platzer has three points (2g-1a) in his last two games... Bakersfield received 11 power plays on Sunday at Ontario, a season-high... Six of the Condors next seven games are on home ice, against six different opponents... D Brad Hunt is tied for second in the AHL with 14 power-play points (4g-10a).

G Joni Ortio has started the last nine games for the Heat... LW Morgan Klimchuk was a teammate of Condors RW Braden Christoffer with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League (WHL)... F Derek Grant has four multi-goal games this season and 10 goals on the campaign. He recorded back-to-back multi-point game efforts over the weekend... Stockton has been outscored 27-12 in second periods, but have outpaced opponents 27-13 in third periods... D Aaron Johnson was loaned to Team Canada for the Spengler Cup, which is an international tournament underway right now in Davos, Switzerland.
