
IceCaps Fall to Marlies on Boxing Day

TORONTO, ON - The St. John's IceCaps fell to the Toronto Marlies 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the Air Canada Centre.
Lucas Lessio scored his first goal as an IceCap in the third period, getting the IceCaps up on the board. Bud Holloway picked up the only assist. Defenceman Darren Dietz notched the second goal halfway through the third, but the Marlies kept the lead and sealed the victory with an empty netter with 30 seconds left. Stefan Fournier assisted Dietz's goal and was recognized as the Hardest Working Player for the IceCaps.
