Avalanche Recalls Calvin Pickard

SAN ANTONIO - The Colorado Avalanche announced today that goaltender Calvin Pickard has been recalled from San Antonio. Additionally, the Rampage have recalled Spencer Martin from the Fort Wayne Komets (ECHL).

Pickard is 9-8-0 this season with a 2.75 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. He played in two contests with the Avalanche following a Nov. 11 recall and recorded a .840 save percentage.

Martin, has a 3.00 goals against average and a .887 save percentage with the Komets, where he has posted a 6-4-0 record this season. In four games with San Antonio, he was 2-1-0 with a 2.76 goals against average and a .921 save percentage.

The Rampage head up I-35 today for a post-Christmas tilt with the Texas Stars at 7 p.m. San Antonio returns home on Sunday, Dec. 27 to host the Stars at 4 p.m., which will also be the team's annual Teddy Bear Toss game, presented by H-E-B.
