Tomas Kana and T.J. Fast Assigned to Alaska

Peoria, Ill. (October 27, 2008) - General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald has announced that the St. Louis Blues have reassigned left wing Tomas Kana and defenseman T.J. Fast to the Alaska Aces of the ECHL.

Kana, 20, has appeared in five games for the Rivermen this season and has posted two penalty minutes. The Opava, Czech Republic native was originally drafted as the Blues second round selection, 31st overall in the 2006 Entry Draft. He spent 12 games with the Aces last season and scored two goals.

Fast, 21, made his professional debut on Oct. 12 against Quad City and earned an assist in the game. He was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round, 60th overall selection, in the 2005 Entry Draft.

Peoria returns to action on Friday as they welcome the Quad City Flames to town. It's Halloween and fans are encouraged to dress in costume for the game. Any fan in costume will receive two (2) FREE tickets to an upcoming Rivermen home game. There will also be trick-or-treating and a costume contest during the second intermission.
