Hamilton Hosts Hershey And Lake Erie; Travels To Rochester And Toronto This Week

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will play four games this week, beginning with two hometown games against the Hershey Bears (AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals) at Copps Coliseum on Wednesday, October 29th at 7:30 p.m., and a match-up with the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday October 31st at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche). The 'Dogs will then hit the road for two North Division rival battles against the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) Saturday November 1st at 7:35 p.m. at Blue Cross Arena, and the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) on Sunday November 2nd at 4:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum.

Last week, Hamilton ended their four-game winning streak with three losses, which drops their record to 4-2-1-0. On Wednesday October 22nd the 'Dogs were defeated 4-3 in overtime by the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum. On Saturday October 25th, the Bulldogs were given their first regulation loss of the season at the hands of the Grand Rapids Griffins by a score of 6-4 at Van Andel Arena. Wrapping up the week, Hamilton was defeated for the third straight time 2-0 as they hosted the Quad City Flames on Sunday October 26th at Copps Coliseum.

BULLDOGS NOTES:

- Hamilton lost their first game of the season to the Toronto Marlies, 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday, to end their four-game winning streak.

- Bulldog point leader RW Matt D'Agostini (4-6-10) picked up two more goals and three assists this week recording 10 points in seven games. He had his four-game point streak snapped in Sunday's loss. During the run, D'Agostini notched nine points (four goals, five assists).

- RW Tyler Shelast, C Mathieu Aubin, and D Frederic St-Denis all played their first games of the season last week. St-Denis played his first-career AHL game on Wednesday and notched his first-career AHL point, an assist, on Saturday.

- C Yanick Lehoux tallied two goals and two assists giving him seven points in seven games.
