El Paso, Texas - The Aces magical week has finally come to an end with a 10-4 loss to the El Paso Chihuahuas. Braden Shipley made his fourth start of the year for manager Chris Cron. Shipley went a season-best five innings, but was tagged for eight runs (five earned) on eight hits and struck out seven. Reno was held in check offensively all night. Domingo Leyba and Yasmany Tomas were the lone Aces players to record multiple hits. Leyba finished 2-for-3 with a double and a triple and Tomas homered for the fourth game in a row. The loss drops the Aces to a record of 19-28 while El Paso gets their 30th win of the season.

???????The El Paso Chihuahuas jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Seth Mejias-Brean drove in the first run of the game on a fielder's choice to Juniel Querecuto. Notes & Information

Sources: According to Diamondbacks beat writer Nick Piecoro, "The Diamondbacks are on the verge of promoting Triple-A Reno slugger Kevin Cron, according to sources, a move that could help provide a lift to their struggling offense. Cron is said to be meeting the club in San Francisco, where the Diamondbacks are opening a three-game series against the Giants on Friday. While one source cautioned that Cron's addition to the roster is not yet a certainty, it seems more likely than not that he will make his major league debut this weekend at Oracle Park." Cron did not appear in tonight's contest against El Paso.

Yasmany Homers...Again: There might not be a hotter hitter on the planet than Aces slugger Yasmany Tomas. Over his last four games, Tomas has hit seven home runs, is 9-for-19 and has driven in 13 runs. Tomas went 2-for-4 tonight in El Paso with a triple and a home run.
