Tom May Returns to Grizzlies; Utah Hosts Victoria

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that the team has signed six-foot-three forward Tom May to return for his third-straight season in Utah.

The 25-year-old Minnesota native will be in the lineup tonight when Utah hosts Victoria at Maverik Center at 7:05 p.m. May's first pro goal came against Victoria on November 1, 2008.

May, who started the year in Europe, has totaled 56 goals and 35 assists for 91 points in 130 total games with Utah. Last year, he had 25 goals and 17 assists for 42 points in 65 games. In his rookie season in 2008-2009, May had 31 goals and 18 assists for 49 points in 65 games as he was also named an ECHL All-Star.

He set a Utah record March 19, 2009 in Stockton by scoring just seven seconds into the game and also tied an all-time team high in that game with four goals. He set a Utah record January 16-February 16 of 2009 with a goal in 10-straight games.

Utah continues their pre-Christmas home stand Tuesday and Wednesday hosting Idaho at 7:05 p.m.
