Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals announced two roster changes on Saturday prior to their 7:35 p.m. home game against the Toledo Walleye as goaltender Mike Brodeur has been assigned to the Jackals by their AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators while forward Eric Lampe has been recalled by the Jackals' AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

Brodeur has participated in two games with the Jackals this season, posting a 1-1 record in a pair of contests in early November against the Reading Royals. The Calgary native started the opening game of the season for the B-Sens, playing in 55 minutes and making 27 saves on 28 shots in a win over Adirondack before an injury forced him to leave the game.

In 2009-2010, Brodeur played in 36 games with Binghamton, going 13-13-2 with an .899 save percentage, a 3.06 goals-against average, and two shutouts. Brodeur made his NHL debut last season, going 3-0 in three starts with Ottawa with a .966 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average and garnered a shutout in his second NHL start on Jan. 14, stopping 32 New York Rangers' shots in a 2-0 Senators victory.

Lampe has 14 points (7g-7a) with the Jackals in his rookie season and has yet to see AHL regular-season action.

The Jackals host the Toledo Walleye at 7:35 p.m. at First Arena. After the game, the Jackals will auction off their game-worn Santa Claus jerseys. For tickets, call (607) 734-PUCK (7825), visit the First Arena Box Office, or log onto JackalsHockey.com.
