
Condors take down Reign 4-1

ONTARIO, Calif. - C Joel Broda assisted on the first three Condors goals as the Bakersfield Condors (11-13-1-0, 23pts) defeated the Ontario Reign (8-15-0-1, 17pts) by the final score of 4-1. The Condors earned their third straight win in front of 4,872 fans in Ontario on Saturday Night.
The Condors struck first to grab the early 1-0 lead. C Joel Broda drove the puck to the front of the net, and Calder was there to slam to rebound home at the 5:38 mark. Bakersfield increased their lead to 2-0 with 6:41 left in the period. While on the power play, RW Pascal Morency blasted a rebound into the top corner of the net. The Condors took the 2-0 lead into the first intermission.
The Condors increased their lead to 3-0 just 35 seconds into the second frame. F Bobby Robins curled around the net and stuffed home a backhander on the wraparound for his first Condors goal. The Reign were able to strike for their first goal at the 5:14 mark, bringing the score to 3-1. The score remained unchanged for the rest of the period.
D Evan Stoflet added the final goal of the game, when his shot hit a skate and deflected past Reign G Kellin Briggs. It was Stoflet's first goal of the season. G Josh Tordjman stopped 20 shots in the win for Bakersfield.
