Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the second time in as many nights, the Kalamazoo Wings will lace up their skates against the Reading Royals. Kalamazoo defeated Reading 3-2 last night in the team's first meeting against one another since last year's playoffs. Tonight will also be the final encounter between the teams in the regular season.

Battling for a complete 60 minutes, the K-Wings used a timely third period goal from Kory Karlander to secure the victory. Karlander becomes the first member of the K-Wings this season to have multiply game-winning goals. This evening will also conclude a four-game home stand for Kalamazoo.

Preparing for the third game of a four-game road trip, the Royals have struggle offensively on the trip. Reading, which is 1-1-0-0 on the swing, has scored two goals in each of those contests. On the season, the Royals are 2-7-0-0 when being held under three goals in a game.

Jurynec Returns

Nearing a Dozen

Forward Trent Daavettila enters the night on an 11-game point streak. His 11-game point streak is a K-Wings season-high and is one-game shy of tying the league-season high held by Greenville Road Warrior forward Brendan Connolly,

Dishing It Out

Kalamazoo's Sam Ftorek has recorded points in five straight games. Besides the five-game point streak, Ftorek, who shares the team's longest active assist steak at five games with Trent Daavettila, is one-game shy of tying the K-Wings season-high for consecutive games with an assist, held by Kory Karlander.

Not to be De-Nied
