Kroll Recalled to Hershey

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach Cail MacLean announced today that defenseman Johann Kroll has been called up to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Kroll, 26, skated in 15 games with the Stingrays scoring one goal and four assists for five points. Last season, the Plymouth, MN native dressed in 41 games with the Stingrays netting 20 points (3g, 17a) and appeared in five playoff contests earning three assists. Since joining the Stingrays for the 2008-09 season, Kroll netted 47 points (5g, 42a) in 96 games and helped the Stingrays capture their ECHL-record third Kelly Cup championship in 2009 with a goal and 10 assists in 20 postseason contests. Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman spent four years at The Ohio State University acquiring 27 points (5g, 22a) in 153 games.

The Stingrays make a quick trip to The Arena at Gwinnett Center tonight, December 18 to battle the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 p.m. Catch all the action LIVE on Fox Sports Radio 1450.
