Titans Hold On For 4-3 Win Over Bombers

TRENTON, NJ (December 28, 2004) – The Trenton Titans got two goals from their power play unit en route to a 4-3 win against the Dayton Bombers in front of 4,606 at Sovereign Bank Arena.

Scott Bertoli got the scoring and the power play rolling when he lit the lamp unassisted at 8:32 of the first period giving Trenton a 1-0 lead.

Michael Schutte would tie the score for Dayton later in the period with his third goal of the season, but Brent Robinson beat Mike Ayers with a wrist shot 2:49 later to again give the Titans a one-goal cushion.

In the second period, the Bombers notched a power play goal of their own when Justin Kinnunen roofed the puck over Andrew Allen to knot it up 2-2.

Trenton however would strike again with the man advantage when Matt Zultek potted his sixth of season 1:59 in the final frame for a 3-2 Titans edge.

Steve Cygan and Scott Cameron traded goals for the Titans and Bombers respectively to make the final score 4-3.

Allen turned away 29 of 32 shots in raising his record to 9-3-1. Bertoli has recorded four points (3g, 1a) in his last two games.
