
Deschenes, Nielsen Come Off IR; Ruggeri Assigned

TRENTON, NJ (December 28, 2004) â The Trenton Titans today announced that forward Nick Deschenes and defenseman Evan Nielsen have been activated off of the 7-day IR.
Deschenes, a second-year pro, has tallied 7 points (3g, 4a) and 12 PIM in 14 games for the Titans. A graduate of Yale University, Deschenes split last season between the Titans and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms.
Nielsen has recorded 3 assists in 14 games for Trenton along with a +3 plus/minus rating. The second-year pro split his rookie season between the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL and the AHL's Chicago Wolves, where he notched 19 points (6g, 13a) in 45 games with the Gladiators and chipped in one goal over 18 games for Wolves.
In a separate transaction, the Trenton Titans also announced that defenseman Rosario Ruggeri has been assigned by the Philadelphia Phantoms. Ruggeri, a fourth-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2002, has potted 1 goal, 2 assists and 29 penalty minutes in 19 games this season for Trenton. The rookie defenseman was scoreless in one game with the Phantoms this past weekend.
