Pensacola's Cloutier Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Frederic Cloutier of Pensacola is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for December 20-26.

The 23-year-old Cloutier was 1-0-1 with a goals-against average of 1.99 and made 61 saves on 65 shots for a .939 save percentage. Cloutier stopped 39-of-42 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to Florida on December 21 and made 22 saves in a 3-1 win at Louisiana on Sunday, which put Pensacola in first place in the American Conference - South Division.

Cloutier is in his first season with Pensacola and is 9-5-0 with a goals-against average of 2.44 and .926 save percentage.

In his first professional season, Cloutier was 28-5-3 and had a goals-against average of 1.84 with the Louisiana IceGators in 2001-02. He continued to play for Louisiana through 2003-04 and also played 12 games with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League in 2002-03 with a record of 4-3-2 and a goals-against average of 2.46, and 6 games in 2003-04 going 1-2-2 with a 2.84 GAA.

Runners Up: Mathieu Chouinard, San Diego (1 gp, 1-0-0, 0.00 GAA, 1.00 save pct.) and Matt Underhill, Mississippi Sea Wolves (1 gp, 1-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .974 save pct.).
