Titans have three called up to AHL

TRENTON, NJ (December 3, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced Saturday that forwards Mark Lee and Chris Thompson have been recalled to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, while goaltender Rejean Beauchemin has been recalled by the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL).

Having participated in both the New York Islanders and Bridgeport training camps, Lee and Thompson received their first call-up of the season.

Thompson, 27, leads the Titans with 6 goals scored, while also recording 2 assists and 29 penalty minutes over 17 games. Now in his eighth season of pro hockey, Thompson has played 457 games, including 23 in the AHL, The 6'2' ' 205-pounder from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan posted 19 goals, 32 assists, 51 points and a team-high 172 penalty minutes in 68 games as captain and third-leading scorer for the Louisiana IceGators last season.

Lee, 21, has registered 2 goals, 2 assists and 10 penalty minutes in 10 games for Trenton. A second-year pro, Lee posted 20 goals, 47 assists, 67 points and 65 penalty minutes in 78 games last season with the Kansas City Outlaws of the UHL. The 5'10'' 181-pounder from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland earned UHL Player of the Week honors early last April and was Kansas City's Rookie of the Year.

Beauchemin, 20, began the regular season with the Phantoms going 2-4-1 with a 2.79 goals against average and a .915 save percentage in 8 games. Sent down to the Titans on November 17, the rookie netminder went 1-4-1 in 6 games for Trenton. A 6'2, 186-pound native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Beauchemin was selected by the Philaadelphia Flyers in the sixth round (191st overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
